Privacy Policy
This page is maintained by Goliath Development Pty Ltd to explain how we collect and handle personal information.
Last updated: 1 July 2026
1. Who we are
Goliath Development Pty Ltd ("Goliath", "we", "us", "our") is an Australian technology company. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate our business:
- Contact details you submit through forms — name, business, email, phone, industry.
- Enquiry content — the message, service interest, budget, timeline, and referral source you provide.
- Technical and usage data — pages viewed, referrer, device type, approximate location derived from IP.
- Marketing attribution — UTM parameters and campaign identifiers when present in the URL.
3. How we use it
- Respond to your enquiry, quote request, callback or consultation booking.
- Send transactional confirmations and, only with consent, occasional Field Notes updates.
- Improve the website, security and lead qualification.
- Meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations in Australia.
4. Legal basis
We process personal information with your consent (given when you submit a form or opt in to communications), to perform a contract or take steps prior to entering one, and to comply with our legal obligations.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and — with your consent — for analytics and advertising. You can review and change your choices at any time. See our Cookie Policy.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that host our infrastructure, send emails or provide analytics — under contract and confidentiality.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where reasonably required.
- Government or regulators where required by law.
7. International transfers
Some of our subprocessors operate outside Australia. Where personal information is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
8. Security
We apply industry-standard controls to protect personal information — encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege for staff, audit logging and monitored infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; we work continuously to reduce risk.
9. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Enquiry records are typically retained for the duration of the customer relationship plus seven years for tax and legal purposes.
10. Your rights
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Deletion — ask us to delete information where we are not required to keep it.
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing communications at any time via the link in every email.
11. Contact and complaints
To exercise your rights or lodge a complaint, contact our privacy officer at hello@goliathdev.com.au. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) if we do not resolve your concern.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
